U.N. Radio Tapes on Women 1988-2005

The cassette tapes and transcripts in this collection were produced by the United Nations Radio Service Department of Public Information. The radio programs served as a weekly forum on issues of interest to women around the world. Sessions include topics such as violence against women, reproductive issues, AIDS, women's rights, family, refugee, and peace. Also featured are interviews with women in leadership positions around the world or special United Nations programs on women. Included with most tapes are brief written descriptions of the program or full transcripts. This collection includes programs from 1988 through 2002, with some programs from 2005.
